Asthaa 2018 at a glance :-
“Asthaa2018” was a National level symposium on Ayurveda and a workshop on “Scientific Paper Writings”. “Asthaa 2018” was organised by Astanga Ayurveda on 10th and 11th November 2018 at the prominent venue, Guru KelucharanMohapatraOdishi Research Center, Bhubaneswar to propagate the essence of Ayurveda all over India. The sole objective of the conference was to percolate the knowledge of Ayurveda from Odisha to rest of India and vice versa. Coincidentally the 18th foundation day of Astang Ayurveda was being celebrated along with Asthaa 2018. On that occasion a big health camp was organised by Astang Ayurveda hospital, BBSR.
The health camp included medicine check-up, anorectal disease check-up, gynic care, eye check-up, blood sugar check-up etc.
The national level symposium on “Basic principle of Ayurveda” was organised with the title “Principle to practice in Ayurveda”.
On 10th of November a scientific paper writing workshop was organised to enhance the knowledge of communication. The workshop was attended by 125 scholars.
It was inaugurated by Mr.Aswini Kumar Mishra, the then director, Ayush, Govt. of Odisha.
The Workshop was conducted by Dr.Pratap Jena, Associate Prof. KIMS Medical College.
Hand on practice was conducted in the workshop. Cultural programme,dinner and night stay were arranged for the scientific paper writing workshop participants.
On 11th November 2018 a symposium “Principle to practice in Ayurveda” on basic principle of Ayurveda was organised along with the 18th foundation day celebration of Astanga Ayurveda.
The day started with delegate registration (more the 350 delegates) followed by breakfast at 9 A.M. Dr. S Gopakumar, the world famous teacher, clinician, orator started his talk over Ayurveda. The auditorium hall was overpacked with Ayurveda scientists, teachers, students, clinicians and eminent personalities of the city.
At 10.30 A.M the arrival of Mr.Pratap Jena the then health minister of Odisha, Mr.Debiprasad Mishra, the member of legislative assembly,Odisha, Dr.Santanu Rath, Director, Personnel, Odisha Mining Corporation added colour and glamour to the occasion. The health minister formally inaugurated the conference “Asthaa 2018” and the “18th foundation day of Astang Ayurveda”. During the course he interacted one to one with the audience which was very much significant and also he felicitated eminent persons with different titles and awards. Dr. S Gopakumar was felicitated with the title “Vaidya Kaibalya”. Dr.Swapneswar Panda was felicitated with the title “Vaidya Tulasi”.Prof.Dr.BipinBihariKhuntia was felicitated for his excellent performance as an ayurvedicteacher. The famous post-graduation entrance teacher Dr.Sanghamitra Dash and Dr.Debashis Panda were awarded with “Mentor of Excellence 2018” award.Mr.Debiprasad Mishra and Dr.SantanuRath put forth their valuable opinions in due time.
The Sponsors were provided with time slots to present their paper with the public. They included OMC, NTPC, OPTCL, OCPL, Dhootapapeshwar, Dabur, LIC of India, National Insurance, Charak, Nagarjuna, Kottakkal, JRK, Altis Life, Lawrence and Mayo, Revinto.
At the end of the day a valediction and thanks giving ceremony was conducted. The two days programme was managed by Prof.Dr. Sanjay Satapathy and Prof.Dr.Bipin Bihari Khuntia. Astang Ayurveda and Asthaa 2018 will always remain grateful towards the students of I.G.M College for their invaluable support to make the function a grand success.
